IBEW Local 280 Picnic
This Saturday, September 11th
There will be a live band, great raffle prizes (including a weekend at a resort), and all kinds of fun and games for the children!! Pack up your family and come have a great time this Saturday !  If you have any questions please give us a call here at the Hall.  See you this weekend !

 
 
State Fair Booth

NW Art & Air Festival
 
Molly & Eric Davis and Greg Miller at the NW Art & Air Festival held this past weekend in Albany.  Local 280 is a sponsor of this event each year and the Hot Air Ballon ride is raffled off at the Joint Unit Meeting each August.

From September 6th through the 12th Rich Duncan Construction will be building an Extreme Makeover House in Salem.  For those that are able to help out you can register here.


9th District Progress Meeting

Local 280 was proudly presented with this Award for Number of Members Receiving COMET Training in 2009 at the Annual Progress Meeting held last week in Anaheim, CA.  Of the 30+ Inside Locals in the 9th District we tied with Local 357 for 1st place.  Way to go!


United Way Golf Tournament

A fund to help apprentices during these difficult economic times has been established. Show your support for the Brotherhood and donate today.

In our continuing effort to leverage the most efficient means of communicating with our members, contractors, industry leaders and the general public, we are working to provide you with timely and relevant information on our website.

Local 280 is comprised of over 1,200 loyal men and women in the Willamette Valley and Central Oregon. Our jurisdiction includes six counties in the valley: Linn, Benton, Lane, Marion, Polk, & Yamhill and across the Cascades into Deschutes, Jefferson, & Crook counties. Our classifications include inside, commercial, industrial, residential, and limited energy work. We have over 140 active signatory contractors who have committed to providing good wages, working conditions, and benefits to their employees.
