Last weekend, on June 6th, sisters from IBEW Local 280 joined sisters from IBEW Local 48 in Portland's annual Grand Floral Parade.
Women from IBEW Locals throughout the region came together to showcase today's Modern Rosies and highlight the ever-growing presence of women in the electrical industry.
The Rosies have become a highly anticipated and popular part of the parade each year. Events like this provide a great opportunity to support one another, celebrate the accomplishments of women in the trades, and inspire the next generation to consider a career in the electrical industry.
By proudly representing our trade and our union, we help encourage more women to join the trades and become a Modern Rosie themselves.
