
All submissions are due by April 15th, 2026.
What is expected of Delegates?
As a delegate being sent to the conference, you will be expected to:
• Actively participate in all conference meetings, workshops, and networking events, and fundraising for the Sisters of Local 280.
• Represent Local 280 with professionalism and engagement, and in such adhering to Local 280’s Travel and Alcohol Policy.
• Upon your return, share your experience by:
-Write a brief report of what you learned or what you took away from the conference.
-Present your insights at a General Membership Meeting as well as a Sister’s Zoom Meeting.
Travel Specifics
• If selected to attend TWBN, your wages and benefits will be reimbursed by the hall for the days you are actively attending the conference and for travel days. Any additional days taken off outside of the conference or travel days will not be reimbursed.
• Flights and Stays will be arranged by the local.
• Costs of food will be reimbursed after the conference based on federal per diem rates.
• Necessary transportation fees will be reimbursed. i.e., Travel to and from the airport to the hotel and conference, parking fees at the airport.
• Reimbursement paperwork must be filed with the hall after travel for proper reimbursement. (Itemized receipts are required)
Requirements
• Must be up to date on dues and must not have been reinstated within the last two years, per IBEW Local 280 Travel Policy.
• All classifications are encouraged to apply, as all should be represented.
• Be willing to share a room with separate beds with another sister.
