IBEW Local 280 is inviting members to create the design for our 2027 annual dues t-shirt! The winning designer will receive one year of annual dues paid in full and a free t-shirt featuring their winning design.

Contest Timeline

• Contest opens: October 5
• Designs must be submitted by October 23
• Member voting: October 31 through November 12
• Winner announced: November 13

Who Can Enter

The contest is open to active IBEW Local 280 members in good standing. Each eligible member may submit one design.

Design Guidelines

• Submit your design as a JPG or PNG image.
• The primary design should be created for the back of the t-shirt.
• You may also include an optional pocket design.
• Hand-drawn entries are welcome. Take a clear, well-lit photograph of the artwork and submit the photograph as a JPG or PNG file.
• AI-assisted designs are not allowed.
• Keep in mind that the winning design must be suitable for printing on a t-shirt.

Finalist Selection

Entries will be evaluated using the following weighted criteria. The five highest-scoring designs will advance to the member vote.

• 30% — Representation of Local 280 and its membership
• 25% — Originality and creativity
• 25% — Appearance and wearability
• 20% — Suitability for screen printing

Member Voting

Eligible members may vote for their favorite finalist from October 31 through November 12 on the IBEW Local 280 Members website.

The official voting link will be shared closer to October 31. Each eligible member may cast one vote.

If the vote results in a tie, the tied designs will be entered into a random wheel generator to select the winner.

Design Release

The winner will be required to sign a release allowing IBEW Local 280 to reproduce and use the winning design on merchandise, including T-shirts, challenge coins, stickers, and other Local 280 items.

Designs may also be submitted by text to 541-405-6672. All entries must be received by October 23rd.

The winning design will be announced November 13th.
